What is a litRPG?

If you’ve never heard of that genre before, a litRPG is when conventional video game mechanics are paired with science fiction and fantasy. Usually this involves something like a character getting stuck in a video game or fantasy worlds with the game mechanics built in.

For example, ‘Ready Player One’ and ’Sword Art Online’ are litRPGs.
